Sponsorship Announcement

February 19, 2016

NTT are excited to announce its partnership and joining forces with Meridian Credit Union for it's 2nd straight year. Manager Amie Burke at the Clair Rd Branch has been an integral part and supporter of NTT in 2015 and we are excited to continue our relationship into 2016 for our Summer Soccer Camps.

The ethos and daily approach of how Amie and her crew at the Clair Road branch go about their days and business is all about fostering relationships, supporting the local community and offering the best products possible for their members. The exact same philosophy as NTT, which is why NTT and Meridian, the Clair Road branch, is such a good fit.

As much as we look forward to banking with Meridian - I'm sure Amie and her crew will look forward to putting on a pair of boots and be seen running about the soccer pitches in the summer:)

Ibrox with Knox

January 30, 2016

A DREAM of a day happened last week when the Gaffer and I were in Scotland. When former Manchester United and Ibrox Assistant Manager Archie Knox, picked us up at the Glasgow train station and asked me 'have you ever seen Ibrox?', I knew it was going to be a special day. Not only was Archie going to give my dad and I an inside look of Glasgow Rangers home ground, Ibrox, but accompaning the tour would be Archie's historic stories.

Arguably the best period of time in Rangers club history was when they won the Scottish league 9 times in a row from 1989-1997 for which Archie Knox was a big part of. Big star players such as Ally McCoist, Brian Laudrup, Paul Gascoigne, Andy Goram and Terry Butcher to name a few - were all star players under Archie Knox and Walter Smith.

One of the biggest rivalries in World Football is an 'OLD FIRM' match between Celtic and Rangers. The passion & hatred between these sides as they fight for supremacy both on the pitch and throughout the streets of Glasgow is unimaginable - and to think of the nerves players and managers must endure is incredible. To hear Archie's account of these games were stories I could hear over and again.

To top it all off - we were walking on a ground where the Gaffer used to train. For a period in the Gaffer's career - he trained with Rangers. At the time - there was enough space behind the goals at the old Ibrox before it was refurbished,  and so the team would train here.

For me, Archie truly epitomizes what it means for a footballer to 'give back'. Throughout his career he has talked about those who helped him to achieve the heights he climbed. The day he gave me was one I hope many footballers get the chance to do. Stand in the middle of a 50,000 + seat stadium and have the dream of playing infront of that crowd. I wished I was 18 years old again!  - Ross

NTT & NEWTYLE United

January 26, 2016

This past week saw NTT take to the soccer pitches in Scotland to train a large group of U9 boys. 19 Newtyle United players made their way to the local soccer pitch on a brisk and boggy morning, to showcase their soccer skills. For just over 2 hours, players worked themselves into the ground, literally!...as players were left stepping into their parents cars - covered in mud and many smiles!

Head NTT Trainer Ross Smith, teamed up with Newtyle United head coach and former Pro Player, Barry McLean to offer an experience which players will hopefully take with them for some time!

Impressed by the level of committment, work rate, knowledge and level of ability - we at NTT hope it won't be long until we are linking up again with Newtyle United!
